Dwyer's Music Tutorials

Introduction

For many years I have created computer versions of musical works: both standard classical music and my own compositions. Using modern technology it is possible to create lifelike renderings of orchestral, chamber, solo and even vocal works (provided the words are not important).  One of the chief computer tools is a software sampling collection known as the Garritan Personal Orchestra, now used by thousands of musicians. Garritan operates a forum in which people can discuss their problems: I have been a regular contributor to this forum and have received the title of Professor for my tutorials and other advice on composition and orchestration.

Arising out of contacts made in this forum I have taken on a few composition pupils who correspond with me by e-mail.

In this section I reproduce many of these tutorials, plus other articles I have written for my pupils over the last few years.
